Here's a great safety solution for indoor balconies, lofts and landings. Kid Safe Banister Guard™ is a clear almost invisible banister shield that’s made of durable, shatterproof plastic. It’s flexible so it curves around banisters and easily trims to any length with a scissors. Attaches with special ties to banisters and newel posts. Installation Aids
Safety Gate Installation Kit Model K10
Required for the safe installation of almost any safety gate that is not being mounted in a wooden
doorway frame. This kit includes the materials and fasteners necessary to
install the gate to wood banisters, hollow walls, or wrought iron. More than
one kit may be necessary, as in the case of wrought iron.
Gy Spindle
For pressure mounting to balusters. Many homes have staircases
that aren't bordered by a wall. In this case the Y spindle aids installation
of the pressure mounted gates to these types of staircases. The Y spindle
wraps around the baluster to provide a secure installation.
On the Gateway®, Use Y spindles only on the hinge side of the gate. No more than 2 per
gate can be used.
On the Center Gateway® models, the Y spindle can be used on either side
of the gate. However, they must be used on the same side. No more than 2
per gate can be used.
NOTE: For installation of a pressure-mounted gate on a staircase
with balusters on both sides, you will need to use a K10 Installation Kit.
